Cross Cutter

Create authentic bandsaw textures and natural aging effects on wooden surfaces with precise and repeatable control. This machine uses a dedicated cross cutting unit to produce distinctive saw marks while ensuring stable transport and consistent processing results.

The Cross Cutter is developed for creating distinctive surface textures and aging effects on wooden workpieces where character and structure are desired.

Typical applications include:

  • Parquet flooring

  • Exterior wood elements

  • Furniture panels

  • Stair steps

  • Kitchen cabinets

  • Similar wooden components

The machine is particularly suitable for creating aged wood effects and surfaces prepared for reactive or color staining.

The machine is equipped with a cross cutting unit that produces characteristic bandsaw textures on wooden surfaces. By adjusting parameters such as throughput speed, cross cutter speed, unit angles and the type of cross cutter belt, operators can create a wide range of visual effects.

The integrated Trivec Tapper System enhances the natural appearance of the surface structures. Pneumatic shoes press the cross cutter belt at random intervals, creating irregular saw marks that closely resemble authentic bandsaw patterns.

The machine is operated through a touchscreen interface that allows easy adjustment of machine speeds and unit height. Custom settings and frequently used parameters can be stored as programs for efficient and repeatable production.

An integrated high-grip conveyor ensures stable and consistent transport of workpieces through the machine. Pressure rollers positioned before and after the cross cutter belt stabilize the material during processing, enabling reliable treatment of different workpiece sizes.

The machine can be equipped with different types of cross cutter belts, allowing manufacturers to achieve various textures and surface effects.

Benefits of the Cross Cutter

Consistent surface finish with controlled brushing

View the results achieved with the brushing machine with 4 brush units.

Sanding

“Controlled mechanical brushing used to open wood grain, remove machining residue, and achieve a consistent surface texture across boards and profiles.

Texturing

Texturing is used to level surfaces, remove machining marks, and prepare materials for further finishing or coating. Consistency becomes increasingly challenging as material variation and production speed increase.
