Brushing solutions for interior wood components

Interior wood components vary in shape, material, and finish requirements.
If brushing is not aligned, it quickly leads to inconsistent surfaces and extra rework.

Our brushing solutions for interior wood components

Every production setup is different. That is why we offer different brushing solutions.

By comparing them, you can see what fits best with your products, materials, and way of working.

The role of brushing in interior component production

Before you can stain, paint, or coat a product properly, the surface needs to be right.

Brushing helps with that. It removes fibres from machining, opens the wood grain, and can create texture if needed.

But not every product reacts the same. A flat panel is different from a profiled part. Oak behaves differently than MDF.

That is why the brushing process needs to match your product. When it does, you get a consistent surface and your coating process becomes much more predictable.

Common challenges in brushing interior components

If you work with different products and materials, you probably recognize this:

Problems

  • Brushes do not follow complex profiles properly
  • Same settings are used for different wood types
  • Grain opening and fibre raising are not consistent

Challenges

  • Keeping surface quality the same across all your products
  • Finding the right brushing intensity for each finish
  • Switching between products without slowing down production

Impact

  • Coating problems or poor adhesion
  • More rework and material loss
  • Lower line speed because quality is not stable

What well-controlled brushing delivers for interior components

When your brushing process is set up properly, things become much more stable.

Surfaces are ready for finishing. Grain opening is consistent. Profiles stay clean. Coatings behave the way they should.

You spend less time correcting mistakes and more time producing consistently good results.

Check if this applies to your production environment
