Cross Cutter – 3 brush units

Create deep, natural-looking bandsaw textures and structured wood surfaces with precise control. This machine combines a cross cutting unit with three brushing units to produce distinctive aged effects while maintaining stable workpiece transport and repeatable processing results.

The Cross Cutter is designed for creating distinctive textures and aged effects on wooden surfaces where character and structure are desired.

Typical applications include:

  • Parquet flooring

  • Exterior wood elements

  • Furniture panels

  • Stair steps

  • Kitchen cabinets

  • Similar wooden components

The machine is also ideal for creating aged or rustic surface effects on wooden materials.

The machine combines a cross cutting unit with three brush units, enabling the creation of deep and structured surface effects in a single pass. The cross cutter creates distinctive bandsaw patterns, while the brush units further enhance the wood grain and texture.

The integrated Trivec Tapper System ensures natural and random effects. Pneumatic shoes press the cross cutter belt at random intervals, producing irregular saw marks that closely resemble authentic bandsaw textures.

Multiple parameters can be adjusted to create different surface effects. Operators can control the throughput speed, cross cutter speed, brush angles and brush types, as well as select different cross cutter belts.

The heavy-duty brush motors are individually adjustable in both rotational speed and direction. This allows manufacturers to create a wide range of surface finishes, from subtle textures to deep structured wood effects.

Central height adjustment ensures uniform processing across all units, while fine adjustment on each unit allows precise control over the brushing intensity.

An integrated high-grip conveyor ensures smooth and stable transport of workpieces through the machine. Pressure rollers on each unit stabilize the material during processing, allowing reliable treatment of both large and smaller components.

The machine can be equipped with a wide variety of cross cutter belts and brush types, providing flexibility for different materials and surface finishing requirements.

Benefits of the Cross Cutter with 3 brush units

Consistent surface finish with controlled brushing

Sanding

“Controlled mechanical brushing used to open wood grain, remove machining residue, and achieve a consistent surface texture across boards and profiles.

Texturing

Texturing is used to level surfaces, remove machining marks, and prepare materials for further finishing or coating. Consistency becomes increasingly challenging as material variation and production speed increase.
