Cross Cutter Double

Create deep and natural bandsaw textures on wooden surfaces with precise and repeatable control. This machine uses two cross cutting units to produce pronounced saw patterns while ensuring stable workpiece transport and consistent processing results.

The Cross Cutter Double is developed for creating distinctive bandsaw textures and aging effects on wooden workpieces.

Typical applications include:

  • Parquet flooring

  • Exterior wood elements

  • Furniture panels

  • Stair steps

  • Kitchen cabinets

  • Similar wooden components

The machine is particularly suitable for producing aged wood surfaces that are later finished with reactive or color stains.

The machine is equipped with two cross cutting units, allowing deeper and more pronounced bandsaw textures to be created in a single pass. This double-unit configuration also enables the use of different abrasive belts within the same process, making it possible to combine multiple effects or sanding directions.

The integrated Trivec Tapper System enhances the natural appearance of the surface. Pneumatic shoes push down the cross cutter belts at random intervals, producing irregular patterns that closely resemble authentic bandsaw marks.

Operators can adjust parameters such as throughput speed, abrasive belt speed, unit angles, pressure on the workpiece and the type of cross cutter belt. These adjustments provide extensive control over the intensity and appearance of the final surface effect.

An integrated high-grip conveyor ensures stable transport of workpieces through the machine, while pressure rollers on each unit stabilize the material during processing to maintain consistent results.

The machine can be equipped with various cross cutter belts depending on the desired texture or surface effect. A quick change system allows belts to be replaced efficiently, minimizing downtime during production.

Benefits of the Cross Cutter Double

Consistent surface finish with controlled brushing

View the results achieved with the brushing machine with 4 brush units.

Sanding

“Controlled mechanical brushing used to open wood grain, remove machining residue, and achieve a consistent surface texture across boards and profiles.

Texturing

Texturing is used to level surfaces, remove machining marks, and prepare materials for further finishing or coating. Consistency becomes increasingly challenging as material variation and production speed increase.
